Teaching Philosophy
Teaching motto
Learning to play the violin should never be just for the sake of taking violin exams, the student should learn the joys of making music and sharing it. Exams should be a supplemental platform for performance education and a sharing of the fruits of labor. Students should be provided with abundant opportunities to perform for audiences, broaden their artistic horizons, and learn from each other under a healthy and competitive environment. It is my belief that students will develop much more positively under these conditions and also gain self-confidence through the mastery of their instruments. Those who have attained considerable competence would be encouraged to participate in chamber music ensembles, which is great for nurturing teamwork and leadership as well as laying a strong foundation to play in an orchestral setting.
My Teaching Principles
- To build good fundamental techniques.
- To build up self- discipline, self- confidence, endurance, perseverance and focus.
- To nurture interest and thinking abilities through music
- To forge independent learning skills through systematic education and effective methodology while providing a positive learning environment to inspire passion and the self-discovery of artistic talents.
- To attend to the different needs of the students based on their level of talent
