Diana Chen
An award-winning violinist
An award-winning violinist, Diana Chen graduated from Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music – National University of Singapore, in 2018 under a full scholarship. She had won several prizes when she was in pursuit of her Bachelors Degree at the Conservatory, such as 3rd prize of violin category in Concerto Competition in 2015 in Singapore. In addition, Diana also won 2nd Prize at the Qingyuan International Music Festival in China.
She has performed with numerous local and international productions such as “Romeo and Juliet” with Stuttgart Ballet and “Aida” with Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra as well as major concert performances with the Metropolitan Festival Orchestra. Diana has also performed with American Broadway Music Production as ‘‘Phantom of the Opera” in Singapore. Diana is also very active in the non-classical scene, performing alongside industry legends such as Joanna Dong and Sachiyo. She has also had the honour of performing for the President of the Republic of Singapore, Her Excellency – Mdm Halimah Jacob, in 2017.

Diana also excels in non-traditional musical platforms, a passion that originated from her leadership position in the Envie Electric Trio. The highly dynamic group has toured in Southeast Asia and performed in numerous events to high recognition.
She was also invited to perform for a number of shows of the highly-acclaimed musical “Phantom of the Opera” World Tour 2019 – SIngapore Season, which was held in the prestigious Marina Bay Sands Theatre.
Concurrently, Diana has also made her mark as a successful recording artist, having provided her expertise to numerous film, live shows, and video productions. In addition, she has also actively performed for other traditional ensemble platforms such as operas and ballets.
Armed with her diverse knowledge and experience, Diana strives to educate and impart what she has learnt from her musical journeys to enrich her students’ learning paths and hopes to enable them to discover and excel in their studies.
